Mr S has been working on the skirting boards for two days and we have run out of money ( he also has been looking into the electrics and the numerous leaks that have suddenly sprouted from the ceiling.) It looks like it is now a case of our DIY. Husband and I start painting tomorrow, then pulling up old carpet, a bit of plastering and a check of our no existent bank balance.....
I left a message for Mr S ( far too long and emotional) , he rang back and husband had to speak to him and explain we would have to save up for another day to pay him! Mother rang to ask how it was going, I felt bad that nothing seemed to have happened and the money had run out! She mentioned it was irresponsible for us to be planning to go on a holiday next year. I felt upset and snapped. The husband had to ring back and sort things out. Going to watch the end of Knight Rider with husband and call it a night.
