Credit seven

The smart room from 2009 is now finished and my husband and I are building up to sit in it tomorrow night with ten friends drinking red wine. I will have to take a chill pill and not worry about anyone tripping over, hole punching the carpet with their heels or dripping bits of food everywhere. Maybe the answer is a good measure of vodka before they arrive!



I have been doing credit crunch shopping in the sales. In a copy of 'Grazia' I read you could pick up a lovely jumper worth £89 pounds if you bought one full item from a shop called 'Give'. The aupair wanted some company so I talked her into driving the children and I on this wild goose chase to 'Give'. We found the shop in the mist of the shopping mall and I started to hunt around for something that would let me acquire the jumper. This turned out to be a red vest top for £20. So I was later able to tell me husband I had saved him the grand total of £60. He of course was quick to add I never would have brought the jumper for £89 in the first place if I had not be suckered into it being free! I shall wear it tomorrow night and hold my head high knowing what a saving I have made......
